Lifestyle Clubs
We have created DSN Lifestyle Clubs as a place for members to explore and develop interests and talents with others who understand the challenges of pursuing your passion and goals with a chronic condition. Our Lifestyle Clubs unite and bring joy to members through participation in and discussion of common interests. We know that you are more than your diagnosis; but we realize how symptoms have a way of creeping into all of our daily activities, which can create unique challenges and spoon shortages. Our lifestyle clubs are places to learn, share, and discover new ways to move towards a healthier and happier lifestyle.
Creatives Club
Creative expression can be a way to express yourself and spread awareness about your condition. It can also be a way to create a work of beauty, despite physical limitations; provide a distraction to cope with symptoms; act as a therapeutic outlet; or be a form of stress relief. The DSN Creatives Club is a space for discussing, sharing, creating, encouraging, and learning all sorts of creative expression - drawing, painting, crafting, singing, dancing, performing, composing, playing music, writing, and any other creative outlet you can dream up. This also includes digital art, visual art, performance art, photography, and even coloring!

Gamers Club
Gaming can be a way to connect with others when your illness keeps you homebound or an activity you can confidently still do when physical activity is limited. Games can provide a distraction to cope with symptoms or act as a form of stress relief, and are just plain fun! The DSN Gamers Club is a space for discussion, sharing, playing, and competing in games of all kinds! This includes PC and gaming consoles, as well as board games, card games, word games, tabletop games, and roleplaying games including LARPs.
Wellness Club
Many individuals with dysautonomia struggle with exercise intolerance or deconditioning. The DSN Wellness Club provides a space to explore these struggles together. Nutrition also plays a role in your overall health and well-being. Furthermore, cooking or baking can be an activity you can do even if your illness keeps you homebound. Homemade food can provide a distraction to cope with symptoms or act as a form of stress relief, and are just plain yummy! Also, if your dysautonomia or comorbid conditions require a special diet to manage symptoms (such as high sodium, low fiber, keto, gluten free, or any other), this can be a space to share tips and swap recipes. This club is a space for the discussion, sharing, recipe swapping, and more. Wellness includes more than simply physical health, so this club incorporates Mindfulness and meditation techniques as well. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. This club provides a space to work on and talk about both aspects of health together.
