Finding Local Mental Health Providers
Psychology Today offers a vast database with providers all over the world. When visiting their site you can change your country, then enter your local information to find providers near you.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is a United States government initiative that confidentially assists patient in finding mental health care providers. Their website offers an online database to find providers in your area who suit your needs. They can also be reached by calling their 24/7 National Helpline at 1-800-622-HELP (4357) or TTY 1-800-487-4889. SAMHSA has also posted specific guidance on COVID-19 related issues.

Online Licensed Therapy

Talkspace is offering a number of different free and paid resources specific to COVID-19. All new patients subscribing to therapy with a licensed counselor are eligible for a discount during this time. Additionally, Talkspace is offering free therapy to impacted healthcare workers, who verify their status with their NPI and state of residence. Talkspace also created a free Coronavirus Support Group on Facebook led by therapists, where individuals can share their concerns and encourage one another. For those who would like to privately read about issues relating to COVID-19, The Talkspace Coronavirus Resource Hub has many free blog posts written by licensed therapists discussing mental health topics specific to this crisis.

Free Phone, Text, and Online Chat Support

7-Cups offers a free 24/7 online chat with volunteer listeners. They also have apps on the Apple and Google Play stores.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) can be reached M-F 10AM-6PM by calling 1-800-273-TALK, texting NAMI to 74171. NAMI also issued a special statement regarding COVID-19 and mental health.
The Crisis Text Line offers free 24/7 support for a variety of different concerns to those residing in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. U.S. residents should text HOME to 741741, Canadian residents should text HOME to 686868, and U.K. residents should text home to 85258.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline can be reached by calling 1-800-273-TALK, TTY 1-800-799-4889, or 1-888-628-9454 for Spanish support.

Half of Us offers specialized support to college students and young adults. They can be reached by texting START to 741-741 or calling 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
The Trevor Project provides free 24/7 support to LGBTQ individuals. They can be reached by calling 1-866-488-7386, by texting START to 678-678, or through their online livechat.
The Veterans Lifeline can be reached by calling 1-800-273-8255 and pressing 1, TTY 1-800-799-4889, by texting 838-255, or through their online livechat.

The National Domestic Abuse Hotline can be reached 24/7 for English and Spanish support by texting LOVEIS to 22522, calling 1-800-799-7233, or TTY 1-800-787-3224. They also offer an English online livechat and Spanish online livechat. They also offer referral services in more than 200 languages.
The National Sexual Assault Hotline, also known as RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. It can be reached 24/7 by phone at 1-800-656-4673 for English and Spanish support, through their English online livechat, or their Spanish online livechat.
